Hurricane Ian
South West Florida

Hurricane Ian made landfall in South West Florida on September 28, 2022 as one of the most powerful stroms ever recorded in the US with winds of 155 mph. The catastrophic storm has left millions with out electricity, as search and rescue teams continue t save thousands of people still trapped inside their homes. Hope Builders is responding and we need your support.

Volunteers are the heart of our organization. Volunteers will work on the ground in Fort Myers Beach, Fort Myers, and Pine Island, Florida. Volunteers are needed both in the office, remote, admistrative work, web work, volunteer coordination and out in the field gathering supplies, delivering supplies, out reach, assesments, making and serving food, and mucking and gutting homes.

Our assignments are open to large groups and individuals. We offer long term and short term opportunities. Most assignments involve physical activity - typically outside in extreme temperatures. Volunteers should be in good physical health. We welcome all who are willing to learn and roll up their sleeves and help. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Thank you for choosing to spend your time serving others. To volunteer with Hope Builders please submit an application below and view our waiver. Once submitted your Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact.

We know for all the good work that large organizations do provide, that Hope Builders is a different and more personal outreach.
