Covid-19 has not stopped us
Hope Builders had to pivot because of Covid-19 and the ‘lockdown’ restrictions imposed by the PR government. THAT HAS NOT STOPPED US! These are some of the things Hope Builders has been doing to help the community we serve during this pandemic.
Accomplishments
Funded and developed the website ViequesPrimero to provide the Vieques‘ community with official, reliable information to navigate life on Vieques at this time.
Donated the materials to build the isolation tent and wall seperating it from the dialysis unit
Coordinated with Vieques Love the Covid-19 training of local medical personnel provided by Dr. Alvelo and AMAR. https://opencorporates.com/companies/pr/32504-121/filings
Coordinated with Vieques Love a Telemedicine Covid-19 training presented by Dr. De Jesus Rojas to Vieques CDT doctors and local practioners. https://health.usnews.com/doctors/Wilfredo-de-Jesus-Rojas-1013843
Provided PPE, masks and gloves, to Municipality, OMME, and the Police Department
Provided infrared thermometers to the CDT dialysis personnel
Paid for the transportation of food for Fe Que Transforma program
Coordinated with Partners for World Health and AMAR to provide PPE and medical equipment to Fe Que Transforma.
Provided pulse oximeters for the CDT and Dr. Perez
Providing face shields to local health care personnel.
